Its got to be said, that these days the only browser you ever need to use is Google Chrome. It rocks, in many ways, and has now rocketed to over 22% market share, catching up with Firefox and IE. One of the things that has ensured it has stayed my browser of choice for the last 2 years, is all the handy extensions that make browsing quicker, and provide useful tools such as screen resizers, colour droppers, URL shortening etc. However, it is not without its bugs still! I recently turned of the wrong mains switch, which cut the power to my PC. The result when I switched back on, was Chrome said something about being corrupt, and couldn’t restore the previously open tabs or some similar messages. I thought hey not big deal, and carried on about my work. I had to switch on the ‘always show bookmark bar’ setting which had obviously reset, but far worse, all of my extensions had gone

Over time I had trialled various extensions for different functions, and settled on about 15 that I would use regularly through out the day. Now, I would have to try and find them and install them all again!! Not a happy bunny. One saving grace I did work out through, which is thanks to another Google feature, is that I can see on my Google web history, all links in the Chrome eb store that I have hit, which has helped speed up the recovery of my browser extensions. If you use Google Web History, and are logged inmost of the time, then check this link to see if it helps:
