If you have upgraded to WP 3.0 as I’m sure you must have down by now, and you are using the network (multiple site) functionality, you may notice that the option to edit the update servcies that are pinged each time you add a new post has mysterisouly dissapeared. In their Wisdom worpdress have done this by design (I think) but have approved a plugin called “Active Update Services” that simply re-activates it so you can check ping site lists, or add them to any new network sites.
